Maritime Series:
A Romance with the Sea: Captain Jose Lopes; 56:58; DVD;  ISBN 0-9717386-3-7    $20.00  USD

The Captain narrates the story of his immigration to the U.S., his life as a merchant mariner, and his construction of  Senhora do Monte, as he prepares to sail her to Africa.  He amplifies his fascinating story by performing original music and Cape Verdean mornas on both violin and guitar.  This educational documentary  is a moving tribute to the spirit of devoted enterprise and creativity.

The Schooner Ernestina Centennial Celebration:  The First Hundred Years; 1:52:22;  DVD;  ISBN: 0-971-7386-3-7    $20.00 USD

Highlights of the three-day, multicultural celebration of Schooner Ernestina's rich legacy is now available as a way to keep her sailing.  $10.00 of each DVD sold will be placed in the Ernestina fund.  Enjoy onboard and dockside performances:  West African folktales, jazz, Cape Verdean music and dance, gymanstic team, and more...
The vessel has held three distinguished careers, the fourth leg of her journey as an educational vessel interrupted by fiscal crisis.  Her unique character has seen many transformations:  She is the oldest remaining Grand Banks fishing schooner;  She is the only ship afloat that explored the Arctic under sail;  She is the last remaining ship to have carried immigrants to America and the only Tall Ship to have brought African people to the U.S. as new citizens.
Ernestina  is a model of vigor and survival in urgent need of our attention.  Let's keep her sailing and shaping lives with wonder and discovery.
